Barret
A coal miner in Corel, Barret is one of the loudest proponents for the installation of the Mako reactors. At first intimidating, with his large size and tough talk, Barret is nevertheless a compassionate individual with a strong sense of justice. He wants to have the reactor installed so that the villagers can live lives less burdensome than that which comes with hauling coal. He gets indirectly caught up with the sabotage operation AVALANCHE is undertaking in the mining village, and Shinra troops subsequently burn Corel to the ground.
