Hi, this is Nomura.
I've been allowed to be the director and designer of FFVII:AC.
From now on, I'll be giving reports on it's status now and again.
Lately, we've been busy preparing for E3 here, and I'm also working multiply other
products beside this one [AC]. Those are being exhibited at the same so, so it was
really busy. At that time, I was really pressed with my normal work as well. Designing,
obviously, writing paperwork, checking, domestic and foreign business meetings,
voice recording, capture recording, on location running around Kilauea volcano,
getting out of shape and reluctantly going to hospital, getting sentenced to hospital
and rejecting, so I've been pretty busy with work. I don't even have any days off
now.
This is the second time I've written this. The first one had more details written
about the things I've been doing lately mentioned above, but there were a lot of
things that were too specified so I itemized it. I asked the person in change to
let me change it, and he sent it back, but it's changed completely.
Well, I'll talk about the inside story of AC for a while.
Firstly, are you thinking, what's that 'location' you were talking about above??
"Isn't AC all CG?!" The truth is, it's on-site photo synthesizing, as a new test.
It's not that it's depending on that for the whole thing, but for certain scenes
we plan on combining photographed backgrounds and CG characters. That was decided
since the original concept stage ...
